No. Embyr is decision-support. It surfaces published research about how the ingredients in your products may interact with your specific conditions, so you can make informed choices and have better conversations with your GP. Always consult a qualified clinician for diagnosis or treatment.

What data does Embyr use to personalise?

Today: your conditions, symptoms, and what you scan. Coming soon: your cycle and wearable data via Apple Health and Google Fit, plus blood-test uploads (TSH, testosterone, AMH, fasting insulin and more). On the roadmap: NHS Login and GP Connect for medical records. Every input is optional.

Yuka gives every user the same generic score. Embyr is a personalised reasoning engine: ingredient × your conditions × evidence strength × the data only you have. Two women scanning the same moisturiser get different answers, because they have different bodies.

Every flag traces to peer-reviewed research. Embyr cross-references ingredients against TEDX, EPA EDSP, EU endocrine classifications and PubMed. Each interaction has an evidence grade (Strong, Moderate, Emerging) so you always know how solid the science is.

How rigorous is the model?

The reasoning engine is deterministic and versioned. Every model change is regression-tested against a golden set of products with expected scores before it ever reaches you. New research is ingested by an LLM, validated by a human, and never auto-merged.

Do I need a hormonal condition to use Embyr?

Accepted Answer

No. Embyr works for any woman who wants to know what is in her products. If you have a condition (PCOS, endometriosis, Hashimoto's, PMDD, perimenopause, TTC), adding it makes the reasoning sharper and more specific to you.

Is my data safe?

Your health data is encrypted at rest, UK-hosted in eu-west-2, and only you can access it. Zero ad SDKs, no data sales, GDPR + UK GDPR hard-delete on demand. Embyr is being designed against the NHS DTAC framework from day one.
